David Powles is the owner and manager of the business.

I have been in the industry for 30 yrs, 13 of them in business, 10 years under the name of David Powles Kitchens.

We have 10 staff, with a combined experience in the trade in excess of 120 years.

We have made and installed projects in an area extending from Swan Hill to Wangaratta and Melbourne to Mudgee in NSW. Some of the places we have worked include a Tower in inner Melbourne, The Carlton Travel Inn Melbourne as well as other numerous small and large projects.

We have been awarded Runner-up in the HIA awards with a kitchen that we designed and built, we have also been involved with other projects that have won award, Kyabram Hospital with Crow Constructions, a house at Kialla Lakes which was runner-up in the state awards and an elderly persons village which won an award as well.

We have builders in the area whom we have been doing work for, for over 20 years.

Our projects extend from the renovation market, new houses to the large commercial jobs, (schools, hospitals and aged care facilities.)

The business has been going for approx 35 years, under a few different names. It has been in this current location for approx 26 years, starting out with one factory then expanding 9 years ago into the 2 factories where we are presently situated

There have been many changes, in colours, product and design of kitchens

The internals of the kitchen have also come along way, with the advent of wire baskets that change the dreaded “dead corner” into a more useable space, to the soft touch self-closing drawers and runners that make the kitchen easier to work in.

New man-made Stones for bench tops, with the same wear properties a Granite but with out the issues that some people have had with Granite.

Glass splash backs rather than using tiles, have also become a design feature that people like, due to the “easy-clean” theme. Handles and all the other accessories have changed dramatically as well, with a more extended range to choose from.
